Maison Mathilde

Maison Mathilde is a French-Vietnamese bistro created by chef Anaïs van Manen. The concept pays homage to Anaïs’ mother Mathilde, as well as her own semi-French upbringing and culinary training.

Identity
Inspired by classic French bistro's with strong personalities, we worked with illustrator Tim Colmant to develop a gluttonous cat who would appear throughout the Maison Mathilde brand.

We wanted to create a connection with the identity we had created for Anaïs herself, so used a different weight of the La Nord typeface that was used for the Anaïs Ca Dao brand.
