Sén

Sén is a wine importer with one core value; vino from independent souls. They work with an incredible range of producers from across Italy, each one creating wines with a unique point of view.

We've helped build out their brand in many different ways, from creating their online presence, posters for their trade tasting events, designing labels for their own co-productions with their winemakers, as well as developing a completely bespoke typeface for them.

We developed a really simple portfolio website for Sén which allows them to showcase all of their upcoming events, as well as to give an insight into the personalities of the producers they work with. On a more functional level, it works as a live price and stock list for all of their customers.

Sén take a truly seasonal approach to the wines they import. more text here All of this is reflected in the posters we've developed for their trade tastings. Each one is responsive either to the seasons of the year, or to the producer they are inviting to showcase their latest collection of wines.

bespoke typeface
Designed to replicate the hand lettering of the original producer cards which were drawn by chef Albino Tavares, we developed Sén Sans, a bespoke typeface with over 150 stylistic alternatives in total. The font makes use of contextual alternatives, meaning that when it's used, it retains the same rhythm and variations as the hand-made examples it derives from.
